The application is available for free download - no registration required. You will
be able to use and test all the functions of the application, except you will not
be able to save the random logs that the application generates. You will need to
purchase a license in order to save your random log.

Q:How do I activate the application?

Click on the register link in the top right hand corner.
You will asked for your: Name, Surname, user ID and password. You will now be able
to login and view your account status. You can now make a payment.
You will receive an email detailing your user id and password. Enter these into
the user id and password textboxes and click activate the application.

Q:What does change hardware mean?

If you have a registered license and you change your Hard disk or your CPU during
that period, you will have click on the change hardware button to reactivate your
application.

Q:Why is it asking me for my social security and tax numbers?

You do not have to use these fields - they can be left blank, however if you want
to use your log for tax purposes, the application will use these numbers in the
header of the log that is generated.

Q:Is it possible for anybody to read my social security and tax numbers?

No, the information will only be available on your log.

and drag on the Google map to locate your home address and right click on the map

The distance matrix is an array that contains all the distances between your clients,
home and place of work. This array is generated by the application and needs to
be refreshed if you add new clients

Frist create all your home, work and client addresses.
Click on the report tab; click on the matrix tab
Select the travel period and the application will use Google maps to generate all
the distances between your clients, home and work addresses for you. Now click save.

Select the report tab; select the distances tab; select the travel period; select
the month now enter the distance that you travelled during that month. Click update.
Remember to lock the month if you are happy with the distance travelled during that
month.

This function allows you to lock the distance travelled in a month while changing
the distances travelled in other months in the same travel period.

This is the average daily distance that you travelled during the month, taking into
consideration start and end kilometres, leave, public holidays, weekends and the
number of working days during the month.

Q:What is the MinimumDailyDistance?

This is a distance the application generates, taking into account the total kilometres
travelled to clients and the distances between the clients, your home and work addresses.
For the application to work as designed the MinimumDailyDistance must exceed the
AvgDailyDistance.

for the meeting.

This is the distance travelled between your fixed home address and fixed work address.

the month now click on the client that you want to delete. Click on the delete client
button to remove the client.

Q:What does recover kilometres mean?

These are freed-up kilometres available after deleting a client. If you click ok
the application will redistribute the kilometres among the unlocked clients.

This happens when your minimum daily distance is less than your average daily distance.

Decrease the distances travelled to clients that are further away

This indicates the amount of time the application has available to find the best
solution.

Q:What is log accuracy?

This indicates the accuracy of the random log generated against the predefined parameters
i.e. the kilometres travelled in each month and to each client.

Q:The application seems to start a solution but does not generate a

Have look at your clients, you might have client that relatively close to the other
clients with a large amount of kilometres assigned it, reduce the kilometres travelled
to that client Have look at your clients, you might have client that is afar with
a small amount of kilometres assigned it, increase the kilometres to the client.
Click start again , the application generates random logs and it is possible for
it to have chosen twelve dead ends.

Q:What are proxy settings?
|
Answer:

A proxy server mediates connections between two or more computers to increase both
security and privacy in the network. The proxy can either exist as a dedicated server
running special software or as just an application running on a generalized machine.
There are many ways to configure a proxy server, and an administrator can use them
to block content to a network, cache data to increase transfer speeds or to bypass
filters. Most companies use proxy servers.

Q: Would I need to know my proxy settings, if I work from my Pc at
home?

In most of the cases no, however you could have a proxy installed on your home network.

Q: How do I find the proxy settings on my computer?
|
Answer:

- Goto Network
- click change proxy settings button
- select the connections tab
- click LAN settings button
Now you have three options
- Nothing is checked and you can access the internet. Most PC are configured this
way, it means you have no proxy installed. This has no effect on Tripslayer the
application will work.
- Automatically detect settings is ticked, this means your PC automatically routes
to the internet via the proxy server. Tripslayer will use this method by default.
- Use a proxy server for your LAN, if this is ticked, you will find the proxy address
and port listed over here. Use these numbers in Tripslayer.
